Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SERMI Track is operated by The Car Key People Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. Contact: hello@sermitrack.com. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to The Car Key People Ltd, and "you" refers to the business or individual using the service.

2. The service

SERMI Track is a software-as-a-service platform that helps UK auto-locksmiths log key-related jobs, capture customer ID and signatures, store evidence photos, and generate PDF reports for SERMI compliance and audit purposes.

3. Accounts & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and using the service for business purposes. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

4. Subscription & billing

  • Plans: Light £5/month (10 jobs included, £0.45 per extra job), Solo £14/month (100 jobs included, £0.15 per extra job), Team £14/month for the first technician + £9/month per extra seat (100 jobs/seat/month included, £0.15 per extra job).
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Prices exclude VAT where applicable. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice by email.
  • Failed payments may result in suspension of the service after a reasonable retry period.

5. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time. New consumer accounts have a 14-day cooling-off right under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations; this does not apply once you have actively used the service to log jobs.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of SERMI requirements.
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service.
  • Upload malicious code or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Use the service if you do not hold valid SERMI authorisation where required by law.

7. Your data

You own the job records, customer details and evidence you upload. We process this data on your behalf to provide the service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data retention after cancellation is described in our Fair Use Policy.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep SERMI Track available on a best-effort basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or release updates from time to time. No formal SLA is offered on the Starter plan.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
